Inspiration

I've been looking for some positivity and inspiration lately, and I came across a quote that I thought was worth sharing.

The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of the depths. These persons have an appreciation, a sensitivity, and an understanding of life that fills them with compassion, gentleness, and a deep loving concern.

Beautiful people do not just happen.

True. Tragedy either makes you more empathetic to others, or in some cases, makes you bitter and nasty. Unfortunately I've known a few like that but I think that propensity was always in them and tragedy just gave them an excuse to be miserable. This does not happen with most. And though you yourself are stressed and understandably so, it's clear that you are a caring empathetic person. 💐

Cancer respects no one. Cancer is all-consuming. Cancer steals precious time.

Expect the unexpected. Never lose hope, even when the situation is hopeless.

As a caregiver, all of your focus is on the loved one fighting cancer. Don't forget to engage in self-care. You can't take care of anyone else, if you don't take care of yourself.

Large nodule in the neck area on the thyroid. Severe fatigue and trouble swallowing/speaking.
